We want this website to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who navigate with a keyboard, screen reader, magnification or reduced-motion settings.
Accessibility target
The site has been designed toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. It has not yet received an independent conformance audit, so we do not claim complete formal compliance.
What the website is designed to support
- Semantic headings, landmarks and descriptive page titles.
- A skip link and visible keyboard focus.
- Keyboard-operated navigation, menus, forms and video controls.
- Text that can resize and reflow on narrow screens.
- Alternative text for meaningful images and empty alternative text for decorative images.
- Colour contrast suitable for ordinary text and controls in both available colour themes.
- A reduced-motion mode that respects the device preference.
- Form labels, instructions, validation messages and an announced submission result.
- YouTube content that loads only after the visitor activates the player.
Known limitations
Some third-party content, particularly YouTube’s player after it has been activated, is controlled by the third-party provider. The accessibility of captions and transcripts also depends on the material available for each video. Historic promotional images may contain text that is not fully reproduced in the alternative description.
How the site was checked
The theme has been reviewed for keyboard operation, focus visibility, responsive reflow, heading structure, form labelling, reduced motion and common automated accessibility issues. Automated checks can identify only part of the standard; further testing with multiple screen readers and disabled users remains valuable.
